Otis began his career with Buckley Radio Bakersfield as an
Account Executive 13 years ago. He was promoted to Local Sales Manager
and most recently held the position of Director of Local and Regional
Sales. In his new capacity he will directly oversee the regional and
national sales operations of the Buckley Group.

Fahnoe is a current board member and past president of the Rotary Club of Bloomfield and serves on the Bloomfield Rotary Foundation board. Eric received the Paul Harris Fellowship recognition in 2008 and completed the Rotary Leadership Institute the same year.   Fahnoe is a St. Francis (Hospital) Foundation Board member, a Corporator and serves on the Young Professional Committee.

He graduated summa cue laude from San Jose State University and is a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity.  He and his wife Michelle live in Vernon, Connecticut.

Mike is a former 3 term City Councilman in Los Banos, Past Chairman and current director of the Merced County Economic Development Corporation, Past President of the Los Banos Chamber of Commerce, and member of Merced County One Voice Delegation.

Mike lives in Los Banos with his wife Marlene, they have one son Dustin who also lives in Los Banos with his wife and son.

In a career that has spanned over 40 years, Bilotta has served with Buckley Broadcasting in a variety of capacities.  He joined the broadcast company at the legendary Top 40 station, WIBG, Philadelphia, rising through the ranks to become its Chief Operating Officer in 2001.  Bilotta held that position until the untimely passing of Rick Buckley in July of 2011.

An active radio industry leader, Bilotta is a former Chair of the Radio Advertising Bureau and currently serves on its Executive Committee. He chaired the RAB Marketing Leadership Conference in 1998 and the NAB Radio Show in Philadelphia in 2003.  He is a board member of the New Jersey Broadcasters Association and served a six year term on the National Association of Broadcasters Board of Directors.

Bilotta resides in Westport, Connecticut with his wife Barbara.  They have two sons: Gregory, the General Sales Manager WOR in New York City, and Nicholas, a West Point graduate and Major in the United States Army.  Joe and Barbara enjoy five grandchildren.

New York – August 3, 2011 –The Broadcasters Foundation of America has established the Rick Buckley Memorial Fund to honor the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Buckley Broadcasting, who was a longtime member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors and served as its Treasurer.

Buckley, who passed away suddenly this past weekend from a brain embolism, had led his family-owned company for four decades.  The Rick Buckley Memorial Fund will benefit the mission of the Broadcasters Foundation to provide aid to broadcasters in dire need.

“Rick was a highly respected community leader, broadcaster, and a dear friend,” noted Phil Lombardo, Chairman of the Broadcasters Foundation.  “Rick believed strongly in the concept of ‘giving back’ to fellow broadcasters in their time of need.  His commitment to the mission of the Broadcasters Foundation will live on with this memorial fund which honors his name.”

In addition to running Buckley Broadcasting, which includes WOR Radio in New York, Buckley was a past Chairman of the Board of the Radio Advertising Bureau and a past Chair of the Southern California Broadcaster’s Association.  A member of the Board of Trustees at his alma mater, The University of Miami, Buckley was instrumental in establishing the Richard D. Buckley Audio Lab at the University Of Miami School Of Communication.  Rick was inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame this past June at its annual meeting.

Rick is survived by his wife Connie and their daughter Jennifer, Director of Sales at WOR Radio in New York City.

The Board of Trustees of Buckley Broadcasting (aka Buckley Radio) announced today that  long time Chief Operating Officer Joe Bilotta will succeed the recently deceased  Richard Buckley as its President & Chief Executive Officer.

Bilotta is a career long  Buckley associate, serving as COO for the last 10 years. He has performed in a variety of  capacities over the past 4 decades with the Company. Bilotta’s position will become effective immediately.

“In Joe Bilotta we enjoy someone who has unparallel institutional knowledge of our company and the radio broadcasting industry….He has our utmost confidence and we look to his leadership to continue the long broadcasting history we    have with Buckley Radio” said Martha Fahnoe, the Trustee Board representative.

Bilotta is a former Chair of the Radio Advertising Bureau and currently serves on their Board. He has served a 6 year term on the National Association of Broadcasters Board of Directors and is currently the affiliate Board representative on the New Jersey Broadcasters  Association.

Bilotta said, “It is with a profound sadness that we in Buckley Radio move forward after Rick’s tragic and untimely death. We will all strive to remain in lockstep with his thoughts and ideas.

Soldiering on will not be an easy task, but one that I and all   hundreds of employees in our 6 markets and 17 stations will accomplish with integrity,  intelligence, enthusiasm and tenacity”.

Joe Bilotta is a long time resident of Westport Ct. with his wife Barbara of 38 years. They have 2 sons and 5 grandchildren.

It is with a deep and profound sadness that I must inform you that early Sunday morning, Rick Buckley passed away.

His passing was peaceful and without pain. He suffered a brain hemorrhage on Sunday
afternoon at his beach home in Quogue, NY. There is no more impassioned leader of any company than Rick Buckley.

He led the company that bears his name for over 4 decades and did so in a style and manner that reflected the family nature of his business. He loved Radio, loved his company and cared deeply for all of his employees.

A company is an assembly of its parts and Rick had a favorite saying that, ‘People are our most important commodity’….You are and were his company. I trust that you will have him in mind with good thoughts and prayers.

As we all soldier on, let’s remember him as the caring, loving leader that he was and work to insure that the legacy he labored so hard for lives on.
